Elkin/Sobolta and Associates (ESA) established in 1979, by its current partners, Michael Elkin & Modeste Sobolta, is a full service architectural firm providing services to a wide range of clients. ESA has developed numerous projects for institutional clients such as Stevens Institute of Technology, Rutgers University, Ramapo College, The State of NJ, The US Postal Service and the Boards of Education of Jersey City, Elizabeth and Clifton. In addition to their architectural expertise ESA is a highly respected roofing and waterproofing consultant specializing in the designs of totally integrated watertight building envelopes. In addition, ESA provides forensic investigations of existing structures that have developed water penetration problems at the building envelope. Over the past fourteen years ESA has completed over thirty roof design projects, including several Green Roof designs, for Rutgers University ESA prides itself on its ability to synthesize information and disseminate the information to team members, provide cost effective, well designed solutions to complex architectural problems and provide an onsite presence during construction to insure that all the thought and care that goes into the design process is not compromised in the field.
