Overview
Elgin Partnership for Early Learning (EPEL) a 501)c)(3) non-profit early childhood community collaboration leads and partners with community stakeholders that are committed to taking action to intensify the impact of local efforts that prepare children for kindergarten by integrating the partners' expertise and resources to create a unified community plan. EPEL builds strong systems that are easier for families to navigate, leading to awareness, access to early childhood services, and opportunities to close the school readiness gap. Giving up our individual agendas, EPEL members have adopted an approach called collective impact, which leverages the commitment of its partners to contribute to successful and sustainable outcomes. The principles of collective impact ensure that partners will do these things: -Shared Vision for Change -Agree on Shared Measurement Outcomes -Mutually Reinforced Action Plans -Continuous Communication with Each Other -Provide the Support Families Need
