Since 2015 Elements RTLS Innovators BV is active in the field of positioning systems. We explored many possibilities. In the beginning we started to examine existing technologies; Bluetooth (LE), WIFI Positioning System (WPS), ZigBee, RFID, UHF and vision (camera’s). Most location technologies are used to locate a person or an object within a resolution of several meters. Our applications required a much higher resolution combined with a high interval rate. Ultra Wide Band (UWB) technology turned out to be the best option for our requirements. The result is a system that is among the fastest and most accurate in the world.
