Overview

ETS will work with you to design and prototype almost any design for new projects or upgrading existing control. Decades of design experience and knowledge place us in the forefront of decision making, economical production and our “get it right first time” expectation. Design and manufacture: 1. Membrane keypads - in its simplest form a membrane keypad consists of one or several keys within a flat panel (less than 1mm thick). Each key consists of an open contact between two tracks or wires that exit at the back of the panel in the form of a tail that can then be connected directly to a PCB (Printed Circuit Board). 2. Touch switches - in–house manufacturing of electroluminescent backlighting for keypads is ETS’ latest addition to their range of membrane switches. An Electroluminescent lamp (EL Lamp) is a capacitor that emits light when an AC voltage is applied to it. It is a layer of phosphorescent material sandwiched between two electrodes. 3. Graphic overlays - We process the same materials as used for the membrane keypads but without any built in keys. In other words we use the top graphic layer with a single adhesive backing. All the same advantages of this material are applicable, namely professional look, hard wearing, cleanable and functional. A choice of graphic material allows for different finishes, from gloss to matt, the material being clear allows for the possibility of display components to shine through designated areas within the material itself such as LCDs or LEDs. 4. Domed badges - enhance your marketing impact by turning an ordinary label into something extraordinary. The process can be compared to the affect a drop of water has on a polished surface. 5. Labels - in its simplest form a label consists of printed ink on top of a base material which is backed by an adhesive plus a throw away liner.
