El Roda Co. for Agricultural Development is an Egyptian joint stock company established in 1987. El Roda started its table grape exports in the early 1990’s and has kept a leading role in the industry managing the largest flame vineyard in the country. El Roda is also an exporter of Citrus, Pomegranates, Stone Fruit, as well as custom order vegetables. Grapes start harvest during the middle of May and can be exported up until Mid of September with several white, black, and red varieties available. El Roda grapes have been exported to Europe, the Middle East, Far East, and Africa , with the majority of our volume being exported to the UK market. Our Citrus season starts from December and ends in May, Pomegranates are available starting September up until December. The main variety grown is called ‘Wonderful’ known for its sweet taste, soft seeds, and favorable internal and external color. Finally, whether it be for retailers or processors we have a large area in our farm dedicated to any of our custom ordered vegetable programs which include availability for over 18 varieties. The company has two main pack house facilities totaling 10,000 square meters. The grape pack house is fully climate controlled and is BRC certified. The citrus pack house is equipped with a fully automated citrus line with a packing capacity of 250 tons per day. The pack houses also include 4 major cold stores and 11 pre-cooling tunnels. El Roda holds the Global Gap, Tesco's Nature Choice, BRC, & OHSAS 18001 certificates.
