We develop intelligent pattern recognition systems for image and multimedia analysis. How can we build intelligent computer systems that help us to extract information out of image and video collections or directly from LIVE camera feeds ? How can we use this information to create new applications or make existing ones better ? Sometimes, only a simple gateway program translating between two application interfaces is needed to build a new application, sometimes much more time and efford must be invested. We do both, if this is necessary to create something new or to make existing applications better.
