It was founded in 2006 by Vinicio Mella and Lludelis Espinal, forerunners and prominent figures in the shipping industry. The firm is also member of the South American Association of P & I Correspondents (SAPIC) as well as an associated member of the Inter-American Ports Commission of the Organization of American States (CIP/OAS).
