Overview

The Drone Survey School is set up to train non surveyors in the use of drone survey techniques. With drones getting cheaper, available plug and play photogrammetric software and easing regulations, the path is cleared for every drone pilot to become an aerial surveyor. Buying a full carpenter toolkit will not turn you in to a good carpenter. In the same manner buying a drone with a camera or a LiDAR system will not make you a surveyor. To be a good aerial surveyor there are some fundamental principles and knowledge you should understand and master. In the 3-day classroom training by the Drone Survey School we will not teach you how to pilot a drone nor will we explain regulations. What we will do is to look at Geodesy, GPS, Photogrammetry, LiDAR and the data deliverables from both a theoretical practical point of view to ensure you do not make those costly beginners mistakes.
