Overview

Dr. Eisner is a licensed, integrative Clinical Psychologist who applies theory and techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, as well as mindfulness approaches and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy to create a tailored treatment plan to fit individual needs. She is also trained in Interpersonal Psychotherapy, a particular treatment modality that focuses on helping people manage grief, cope with life transitions, amend relationship issues, and improve interpersonal connections. Dr. Eisner earned her bachelor of arts in Psychology Cum Laude from Emory University in Atlanta, GA, and her doctorate at Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology, Yeshiva University, in New York City. Dr. Eisner trained at top hospitals in the New York City area. Most notably, Dr. Eisner completed an externship, American Psychological Association (APA) accredited pre-doctoral clinical internship, and an APA accredited post-doctoral fellowship at Northwell Health’s (formerly known as North Shore-Long Island Jewish) Zucker Hillside Hospital, with rotations in the adolescent inpatient unit, adult inpatient unit, perinatal outpatient clinic, and the geriatric partial hospital. Following her training, Dr. Eisner became a staff psychologist at Northwell Health where she was the director of the partial hospital program that specialized in treatment of severe depression, anxiety, role transitions, grief, and personality disorders. Dr. Eisner also supervised psychology externs, interns, and fellows and conducted seminars and training sessions. Dr. Eisner currently serves as Adjunct Faculty at Northwell Health and as an Adjunct Clinical Supervisor for the Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology at Yeshiva University. In addition to running her private practice, Dr. Eisner continues to work as a clinical psychologist at Behavioral Medicine Associates where she specializes in treatment of PTSD, general trauma, pain management, depression, anxiety, role transitions, and loss. Dr. Eisner is a member of several professional associations including the American Psychological Association, New York State Psychological Association, the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, and has earned a certification in Perinatal Care by Postpartum Support International (PSI). Dr. Eisner is committed to continued learning and regularly attends lectures, seminars, and workshops.
