Overview

Within DQ-mat, researchers redefine the limits of conventional physics, entering the impressive world of quantum mechanics and its fascinating properties such as entanglement or superposition. The vision of DQ-mat is the targeted design of quantum states of matter to explore and master the fundamental properties of quantum-correlated many-body systems and to exploit these states for enhanced metrology, enabling tests of our understanding of fundamental physics at unprecedented levels. It is a joint research project of the Leibniz University of Hanover and Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt PTB, the German National Metrology Institute.
