Overview

The purpose of the DigiWomen project is to train VET trainers to support women coming from disadvantageous rural areas to educate themselves in a more business education and training focusing on developing job qualifications, leadership skills and bookkeeping. The DigiWomen project focuses on four (4) types of literacy which will help women coming from disadvantageous rural areas to gain more job qualifications which support them to look for better working conditions or create their business. So, the developing literacies in the project are as follows: 1.Financial Literacy: refers to the ability to understand how money operates in business and in personal life. 2.Digital literacy: is a component of digital citizen who is responsible for how people use technology to interact with the world around. 3.Agricultural literacy: refers to people’s knowledge on the production and delivery of food, fiber and fuel that humans need to survive and develop, taking into consideration the affection of the natural environment. 4.English Language literacy: refers to the knowledge and skills of people speaking and writing in English language as their foreign language.
