Overview
Our vision is that society will one day equip altruistic organizations as well as we equip for-profit companies. Over the years, we’ve seen new technologies enable corporations to shape our culture, alter our ecosystem, and usher in new realities we never thought possible. The new context of UX design and connectivity has shifted the expectations of consumers–a corporation using outdated technology won’t survive for long, and a mission-driven nonprofit will have little impact. According to the law of accelerating returns, this technological evolution enjoyed by the organizations advantaged by capitalism will only increase in speed and impact. Most non-profit organizations, on the other hand, are totally bereft of technical capability. While they focus on matters paramount to humanity–homelessness, civil rights, environmental sustainability, etc.–they are left to make change with few resources other than selfless dedication and sheer willpower. We will ensure mission-driven nonprofits receive the technical support they need to modernize. There already exists an army of folks working for positive change, we will give them the digital boost they need to exponentially increase their positive impact. We already have the heroes, Digital Aid Seattle is just giving them a tech super-power.
