Services in Chemistry for a Sustainable World Founded out of the Cluster of Excellence UniCat DexLeChem is a high-tech startup specialized in homogeneous catalysis. Looking from the perspective of Green Chemistry, the company provides innovative solutions for the chemical-pharmaceutical production leading to considerable competitive advantages. Our portfolio ranges from process optimization to the development of new routes of synthesis. By applying an agile project management tool (Scrum) development times are reduced by up to 30% compared to conventional development projects. This ensures fast, competent and customer-oriented solutions presented in ready-to-implement reports. Our interdisciplinary team currently counts twelve employees. The company’s headquarters is located at the CoLaborator in the heart of Berlin. Areas of Expertise Combining various scientific disciplines distinguishes DexLeChem from pure organic chemists: technical chemistry, homogeneous (chiral) catalysis, process engineering and theoretical physics are deployed in each development project guaranteeing innovative solutions that are applicable in our customer’s production facilities. With a strong background in reaction engineering combined with computational chemistry we are experts in designing and optimizing production processes: • Process optimization & scale-up • Separation approaches (liquid-liquid separation) • Simulations • Synthesis design Services Since the unique combination of our technical expertise is applicable in different phases of a product’s lifecycle our services support the optimization of already implemented as well as the development of new chemical production processes. Additionally, we offer a licensing opportunity for the metal-free and highly chemoselective reduction of nitro compounds to amines (WO 2014/037444 A1) as green alternative to traditional methods.
