Overview

Founded in 1993, Desert Harvest began with a mission to formulate a superior aloe vera supplement to help with painful Interstitial Cystitis (IC) / Bladder Pain Syndrome (BPS). Utilizing a patented process to freeze dry fresh organic aloe within hours of harvesting, we retain the maximum amount of nutrients while removing 100 percent of the water, insoluble fiber and the caustic latex chemicals (anthraquinones) that are inherent in the aloe plant and known to be irritating to the digestive system. The pure aloe contained in each Desert Harvest capsule helps to maximize the anti-inflammatory, analgesic and healing potential of aloe vera in a digestible, non-irritating form. We add no fillers, artificial preservatives or ingredients. In 1995, Desert Harvest conducted a double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial for the Super-Strength Aloe Vera Capsules which showed a marked reduction in all symptoms of IC/BPS (87.5% of subjects got either total or partial relief from their symptoms). In 2016 Desert Harvest conducted a survey of 20,000 Super-Strength Aloe Vera capsule users with IC/BPS. The data gathered helps us educate both the patient and the healthcare provider to know what to expect, how long the ramp up to relief might be, and how to moderate dosage to best suit personal needs. 92% of patients self-reported that they ‘experienced relief’. Because those with IC/BPS are also challenged with diet restrictions, we formulate additional nutritional supplements especially for urology patients (can be used by everyone) as well as all-natural topical gels and lotions formulated with the most sensitive conditions in mind. All products are made with natural ingredients, paraben-free, petrochemical free, and non-GMO.
