Department of Statistics at S. K. Somaiya College under Somaiya Vidyavihar University provides post graduate program in Statistics. They assist students to grow and apply their statistical knowledge with the help of softwares that are provided as elective courses. R, python, SPSS and SAS - basics and statistical application of these softwares are taught along with the theoretical knowledge to up-skill their students with a motive to make their skills industry-ready Also, faculty assist students to improve their soft skills, presentation skills in order to make them ready for their career. Faculty provides opportunities to students in the form of assignments which mostly consists of surveys and various other projects, hereby preparing them to work as a team.
