Overview

Deep Food is food design for thought. Deep Food was founded by Cindy Chan and Heinrik Ng, with a background in product design which they used to create exhibitions and unconventional eating experiences as critical design. The team aims to serve each diner thoughtful discussions using the power of food as a medium to go beyond its taste, convenience and origin and present edibles as content and culture. Deep Food is currently incubated at the Design Incubation Programme of Hong Kong Design Centre; it is also selected by the University of the Arts London (UAL) as part of the current cohort in the UAL Creative Business Accelerator. Cindy and Heinrik graduated from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University with a Bachelor of Arts in Product Design. Cindy also gained her Master of Arts in Applied Imagination in the Creative Industries at Saint Martins, University of the Arts London. She was awarded the DfA Hong Kong Young Design Talent Award 2019. The team welcomes creative collaborations with an ambition to expand its local and global roster of food-related exhibitions and immersive experiences.
