D-teach online school is an international not-for-profit organisation and the first online school in Belgium with more then 10 years of experience in online teaching. D-teach was launched in 2012 as an initiative by pedagogues at Ghent University. We offer tailor-made online education for expats and world citizens. As a bridge organisation between Belgium and the world, we are committed to internationalisation and re-integration. Personalised online learning that is as fast, flexible, international and multicultural as the world we live in is our goal. A qualified team of teachers, pedagogues and speech therapists is ready for you, with education tailored to your needs. Our school currently serves students in more than 55 countries. d-teach's mission is to support young people worldwide in this VUCA world. The online school not only focuses on curriculum but also aims to prepare young people for the globalizing and multicultural world of tomorrow. We offer support for specific needs: expats, impats, gifted children, digital nomads, etc. In line with the 21st Century Skills, d-teach emphasizes principles such as global citizenship, media literacy, lifelong learning, critical thinking, multilingualism, digital skills, and more. Using virtual technology, physical distances between Belgium and the world are bridged, allowing students and their teachers to be literally on the other side of the world. Over the years, d-teach has also developed a strong network of international partners such as ICONS, an international community of online schools (www.icons.education). Furthermore, d-teach itself is a sustainable partner that collaborates constructively with traditional education. Together with local and international companies, organizations, and educational and research partners, d-teach also contributes pedagogically to research and innovation projects.
