The Department of Computer Science & Engineering was established in the year 2000. Department offers a wide array of research opportunities and programs of study at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The department encourages students to gain practical skills and a strong understanding of core computer science areas. It has also received funding by VGST & KSCST, Government of Karnataka and Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. Faculty and students often collaborate on projects, working side-by-side with researchers from other colleges and departments across the campus. The students get to build specialist knowledge in the field of applied computer sciences with the flexibility to follow their interest through the choice of varied optional modules, courses and electives. The vibrant academic environment and a tradition of active participation in technical events by the Computer Science & Engineering Department have resulted in publications in premier conference proceedings and leading journals.
