Overview
Consulate General of Argentina in Toronto, Canada The Consulate represents the Government of Argentina in Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia and the Northwest territories of Canada, responsible for its fellow- citizens, living or travelling in the host country. Its services are divided in to three sections: The Consular Department issues and renews passports and other official documents. Reports births, deaths, marriages, divorces, adoptions, etc. back to the competent authorities’ in Argentina. Assists citizens in distress or in other emergency situations. Looks after Argentinean citizens in involved in detention or arrest. Extends entry visas to foreign citizens and informs them about immigration, residence and work permits. The Commercial Department analyses commercial needs to develop business partners and potential customers for Argentinean companies. Promotes Argentinean exports and investments opportunities increasing the trade relationship between Argentina and Canada. The Cultural Department organizes events to promote Argentina’s culture and image. Encourages academic, scientific, cultural and artistic exchanges between both countries. Participates at international festivals and provides touristic information.
