Overview

The consulate general of the kingdom of the Netherlands represents the Netherlands in western Germany in the areas of economic diplomacy*, mobility, infrastructure, security and detainee accompaniment, education and culture. The Consulate General is part of the Dutch diplomatic network in Germany and works closely with the Embassy in Berlin, the Consulate General in Munich, the Netherlands Business Support Offices and the Honorary Consulates. The Consulate General in Düsseldorf supports Dutch-German relations with the German states of Lower Saxony, North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate, Hesse, Saarland and Bremen. The jurisdiction covers around 126,000 square kilometers with 38 million inhabitants.
