Comitato Leonardo - Italian Quality Committee

International Trade and Development

Overview

The Leonardo - Italian Quality Committee was created in 1993 on the inspiration of Sergio Pininfarina and Gianni Agnelli by the ICE Agency and the Association of Italian Industries (Confindustria). Its mission is to promote the excellence of Italian lifestyle and Made in Italy: a unique and exceptional synthesis of creativity, design, quality and innovation that represents the true competitive advantage of Italian companies abroad. It is currently made up of 160 co-opted members, including entrepreneurs and prominent personalities in the fields of art, science and culture, who are willing to share a common vision of Italy. The President of the Council of Ministers, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Minister of Enterprise and Made in Italy and the Minister of Culture are also members of the Leonardo Committee as honorary members. ICE and Confindustria provide strategic and operational support to our activities to create synergies between business, art, culture and science. The commitment of the Comitato Leonardo goes beyond the mere promotion of the image of Made in Italy; in fact, it proposes various initiatives, such as scholarships and meetings of local Italian entrepreneurs, with the aim of promoting exchange and cooperation between local business communities as actors of Made in Italy. Every year, the Comitato Leonardo - Comitato Italiano Qualità awards several prestigious prizes, including the Leonardo Prize, the Leonardo Qualità Italia Prize, the Leonardo Impresa Storica Prize, the Leonardo International Prize and the Leonardo Startup Prize.
