ColomboSky is a company supported by European Space Agency incubation programme. ColomboSky developed AquaX, a satellite-based service for the monitoring of water quality everywhere in the World. AquaX allows to increase aquaculture production by improving farming sites performance and reducing losses due to biological and climatological threats. Thanks to precise satellite measurements and customized oceanographic models, AquaX can measure and forecast a wide range of ocean parameters and biological phenomena, such as temperature, salinity, currents, algal blooms and jellyfish blooms over large spatial scales and continuously in time. AquaX is a powerful tool that provide easy and actionable information for an effective management of environmental risks that can impair fish farms productivity. Our team is composed by elements with experience in marine biology, oceanography, remote sensing and data analysis. ColomboSky team members have deep experience in international projects for Earth Observation and machine learning as well as aerial and drones inspections through image processing. In the last two years, our team has been focusing on the development of AquaX, the most complete water quality monitoring tool on the market.
