Coalition --Canadian Police Reform

Higher Education

Overview

C-CPR has a balanced and fair perspective on 21st Century policing. Training, professionalism, national standards for police -- we educate and inform the citizens of Canada about it all. We are a registered charity in Canada. Everyday our officers give of themselves. Some die in the line of duty. Far more suffer for difficult decisions that turn out to be wrong in the court of public opinion. Knowledge drives change. Join us on this journey to bring professional policing to Canada. Our police will benefit from a new way to educate the recruits. They need 21st Century knowledge: For instance, Indigenous history and the effects of residential schools. Excellent interpersonal ability through advanced emotional intelligence skills. De-escalation skills defined by a national standard and taught with recurrent simulation of scenarios throughout a police officer's career. C-CPR with your help can define a unified vision for Canadian police training and education. Nursing, medicine, accounting and social work are professions. Our police should also be professionalized by incorporating national standards, modern evidence-based curriculum and recurrent training. National certification of every officer will be THE hallmark of excellence. Join with C-CPR as a member or follower or donour to help our officers achieve the knowledge they need to preserve the peace, tranquility and freedom of Canadian life. Thank you!
