Overview

We work at the intersection of agriculture, environmental science, AgriTech, and policy to enable farmers to identify the opportunities most suited to their farms, and thrive through the changes of climate change and the net-zero transition. We have a particular focus on working with farmers to develop the industrial hemp and hemp biochar markets. 𝗙𝗮𝗿𝗺 𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 We enable farmers to increase their profits by exploring new revenue streams. We provide expert knowledge to guide landowners through the transition, including financial modelling and project management. • Aerobic digesters to produce fertiliser and biofuel, • Renewable energy production, • Novel crops (inc. hemp), • Controlled Environment Agriculture. 𝗢𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗺𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 We use advanced mapping techniques to identify opportunities for landowners to be paid for delivering the sustainability, carbon sequestration, and ecosystem services projects most appropriate to their land. • Natural Flood Management, • Connect with private investment for carbon offsetting, • Increase biodiversity and deliver cleaner water, • Make the most of new agricultural policy. 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗸 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 We downscale climate projections to the farm-level to explore how climate change is already impacting farms and how this is likely to change in the coming decades. From this, we recommend actions to mitigate and adapt to these changes. • Understand the local variability and trends, • Identify how best to manage risks, • Explore farm relevant variables (heat stress on crops / livestock, growing season length, etc.), • Ensure the future viability of the farm business.
