THE FUTURE OF GOLD MINING Clean Mining is working to transform gold production worldwide through new processing technology that eliminates cyanide as a means of extracting the precious yellow metal. The solution represents transformational change achieved through the commercialisation of new, environmentally-conscious ore processing that sets a new ‘gold standard’. It is the mineral processing technology of the future. Developed over more than a decade by CSIRO, Australia’s national science agency, the process replaces cyanide with a safer and gentler reagent called thiosulphate. The same innovative company behind the worldwide distribution of this innovative technology – Clean Mining – is also working on eliminating mercury from the extraction process.
