City Year AmeriCorps Student Success Coaches serve full-time in schools, where they partner with teachers and school leaders to provide high-impact student, classroom, and school-wide support to help students graduate from high school, and prepare for college and career success. City Year has a Long-Term Impact strategy, an exciting plan to scale its impact to dramatically increase the urban graduation pipeline and transform the future for thousands of students nationwide. Here in Washington, DC, 177 City Year AmeriCorps Student Success Coaches proudly serve 21 schools in Wards 1, 4, 7 and 8, reaching 8,000 students. Our Student Success Coaches drive student achievement through daily one-on-one and small group coaching in attendance, behavior and course performance. City Year Washington, DC also provides City Year AmeriCorps Student Success Coaches with Leadership & Career Development as well as networking opportunities throughout their year of service.
