It is ranked 38th largest city by population in North Carolina. According to the 2018 U.S. Census, Thomasville’s population stands at 26,766. Our City government prides itself on providing quality municipal services in an efficient and cost-effective manner. For many years we were home to one of the largest furniture companies in the world - Thomasville Furniture Industries. Now we are home to a number of international companies producing laminate flooring, transportation safety products, machined metal specialty products, and, we still produce fine furniture.
