Lincoln City Parks & Recreation Department

Government Administration

Overview

Our mission is to enhance the quality of life and provide safe and accessible services, programs, and facilities for all. We follow 3 Pillars of Parks & Recreation: 1. Health and Wellness: advancing community health and well-being through parks and recreation. 2. Equity: is at the center of all we do, as we strive for a future where everyone has fair and just access to quality parks and recreation programs. 3. Conservation: creating a nation of resilient and climate-ready communities through parks and recreation. Our Parks and Recreation Dept was established in 1960, and contains 35 developed Parks (40 acres) and eight Open Spaces (365 acres). Our Community Center was built in 1981 and includes a full fitness center, sports gymnasium and aquatic center. Our Community Center sees over 200,000 facility visits per year, and we're open year-round.
