Circles for Reconciliation Inc.

Overview

Circles for Reconciliation Inc. is a grassroot organization built on the understanding of the importance of equal partnership. The aim of Circles for Reconciliation is to establish trusting, meaningful relationships between First Nations, Inuit,, Metis and non-Indigenous peoples as part of the 94 Calls to Action from the Truth and Reconciliation Commission. For 10 weeks, 5 Indigenous and 5 non-Indigenous participants meet for 90 minutes each week to share and discuss key issues related to the impacts of residential schools and the process of reconciliation. Two trained facilitators guide themed discussions and provide a safe respectful space for open dialogue. Circles take place in person or on Zoom and are continuing to grow across Canada.
