Overview

“Beating The Odds” is Chris MacLeod’s new inspirational book, with 11 lessons to help you overcome a health crisis and lead a more resilient life. About the book: Beating The Odds is your guide to living a resilient life. Coming out of the lessons learned by Chris MacLeod over a lifetime of beating the odds with cystic fibrosis, this book shows you the steps you can take to cultivate an attitude and spirit of resiliency in facing a health crisis or any major life challenge. Each of the book’s eleven lessons take you inside a life that is lived with intensity everyday so that you can create your own path on your personal journey. From simple advice like just getting up everyday when it’s not easy to do, to seeing your life as you choose to see it, not as it’s prescribed to you, Chris will help you create possibilities that you thought were unachievable or unattainable. With heart, humour and humility, Chris shows you how you can take charge of your life and write your own chapters. About the Author: Born with a heart defect and diagnosed with cystic fibrosis at two, Chris MacLeod was expected to live only seven years. Now 51 years, he knows what beating the odds is all about. Known for his “never better” greeting, Chris combines the miracles of modern medicine with the power of positive thinking to lead an active and dynamic life. He serves as a director on numerous corporate and non-profit boards, is a founding partner of Cambridge LLP, and is the founder and chair of the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Treatment Society.
