Overview

Circular Health European Digital Innovation Hub (CHEDIH) is an Italian EDIH dedicated to the agri-food and health supply chains. CHEDIH is a one-stop shop supporting the digitalisation of SMEs and PAs in the two sectors. It operates in Piedmont and the Aosta Valley as well as other Italian regions. With the University of Turin as coordinator, the consortium includes: DIH Piemonte e Valle d’Aosta, CSI Piemonte, the management bodies of the bioPmed health innovation cluster (BIPCA) and agrifood (MIAC), a network of 17 ICT companies, the Confindustria Piemonte, ITS ICT, the independent financial consultancy T Lab Consulting, the international law firm CastaldiPartners, and EIT Health KIC and a network of associated partners: the University of Eastern Piedmont, the EIT Food project, the Unioncamere Piemonte chamber of commerce, OGR Tech and NODE (the DIH of Confcooperative). The provided technologies are AI, HPC, Cybersecurity and Blockchain, but also higher technology readiness level (TRL) solutions to adapt to the level of digitalization of its customers. It walks customers through all stages of their digital and green transitions. The problem of fragmented services to support digital transition is solved by allowing SMEs and public administrations to have one interlocutor along the entire path towards "twin digital and green transitions". CHEDIH helps SMEs and PAs improve their processes and products by providing a wide range of specialised services supplied by over 30 partners. After assessing the customer’s digital maturity level, a customised roadmap is created, and the customer is put in contact with technology providers in order to test solutions, access digital skills, and initiate feasibility studies. Services also include training on how to use the technologies, help with identifying public and/or private funds, and revision of the customer’s business plan.
