Profile: The Centre for Climate Change and Land Restoration (CCCLR) is a youth-led organization founded in 2019 by a young environmentalist who was awarded the first Somali pioneers of climate change and environmental sustainability scholarship from UNDP and GEF. CCCLR is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting sustainable land use practices, addressing the challenges of climate change, and building climate resilience. The CCCLR works with youth and communities to develop and implement projects and programs that promote climate action, restore degraded lands, and promote sustainable livelihoods. Vision: Our vision is that youth are leading the way in addressing the challenges of climate change and land restoration, and where land is sustainably managed to support the needs of present and future generations. Mission: Our mission is to empower youth and communities to take action on climate change and land restoration through education, advocacy, and practical action. We work with youth and communities to develop and implement projects and programs that build climate resilience, restore degraded lands, and promote sustainable livelihoods.
