Overview

Center for Indonesian Medical Students' Activities is an independent, inclusive, non-profit, non-government, and non-politic organization that facilitating medical students of Indonesia who have intentions to make a great impact on nation's health with various of projects. CIMSA empowers medical students of Indonesia to play their major role in health promotion and prevention as a step to improve nation's health. CIMSA was officially establish in May, 6th 2001 and currently maintains 20 locals throughout Indonesia with over 6000 members. Since 2002, CIMSA has been affiliated with International Federation of Medical Students' Association (IFMSA), a federation of medical students' associations throughout the world, which is recognized by World Health Organization as the International forum for medical students. CIMSA core activities are sustainable project with current global issues, community development, training, and exchange opportunities for medical students. We have dispatch more then 500 medical students, graduating more then 100 international certified trainer, and developing more then 11 community development throughout Indonesia. Also, since February 2016, CIMSA have commit to fulfill Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with focused on 4 points; 3-Good Health, 4-Quality Education, 5-Gender Equality, and 13-Climate Action. With that, CIMSA have become a part in the global agenda towards better future. Vision: “To empower Indonesia medical students in order to create a healthier, more secure and more prosperous Indonesia where people can enjoy equal opportunities in education and health and also in effort to improve lives and also reach prosperity and social justice. In addition is to reach universally healthier lives for a healthier world.” Mission: “To empower medical students to be able to actively learn and create, and also to plan strategies and execute movements to improve nation’s health and well being.”
