OUR HISTORY CARE, Inc. is a community-focused not-for-profit organization located in the heart of Miami Gardens. CARE Inc., formerly known as Sharing With All Thoughtfulness (S.W.A.T), was established in 1998 and born out of the vision of Pentecostal Tabernacle International to promote the wholeness of mind, body and spirit. Since its inception, CARE Inc. has expanded from three main programs to a variety of services to meet the underserved population of Miami Gardens and the surrounding communities. CARE Inc. started with providing rehabilitative services to formerly incarcerated men and women, HIV/AIDS counseling and food pantry services. Now, CARE Inc. has extended services to include marriage and family enrichment, educational empowerment trainings, mental and behavioral health wellness programs and resource connection services. CARE Inc. has also formed partnerships with Department of Children and Families (DCF), Miami- Dade School Board, Feeding South Florida and Florida International University (FIU) as well as collaborated with a wide range of service providers to bring needed educational, mental and physical health, and social services to community members. The staff, directors and volunteers of CARE are proud to have served Miami Gardens and its surrounding communities since 1998 and will continue to implement strategies to improve the quantity and quality of service provision.
