Overview

A family legacy turned into a 150-year-old startup, Celaya Tequila honors Jose Celaya, the great-grandfather of owners Ryan and Matt Kalil who crafted the family's first tequila on his modest Sonora Ranch in the late 1800s. Now a small batch, premium tequila, Celaya is produced as a blend of 100% Blue Weber agaves, grown in both cool climate of the Highlands and the warmer lowlands of Jalisco, Mexico. Tequila is much more than a spirit for the Celaya family. It’s woven into the fabric of their history. It’s there in every important moment. Tequila represents the companionship of family and friends. It symbolizes love and laughter, hardship and joy, sacred tradition and the welcoming of new experiences. As Celaya sees it, tequila is life distilled into its purest form. Today, well over a century after Jose’s makeshift distillery produced its first few drops, Ryan and Matt are grateful to their abuela for rekindling a passion for tequila in yet another generation. They are proud to honor the legacy. As you enjoy this premium small-batch tequila, Celaya invites you to share it with those you love with the hopes that you take from it everything that’s gone into it.
