Overview

The Brazilian Athletics Confederation, designated by the acronym CBAt, affiliated to the World Athletics (WA), the South American Athletics Confederation (CONSUDATLE), through World Athletics, and the Brazilian Olympic Committee (COB), is a association of non-economic and non-profit purposes, of sporting character, founded in the city of Rio de Janeiro ( now-a-days, CBAt is located in Bragança Paulista, near Sao Paulo.), on December 2, one thousand nine hundred and seventy-seven, constituted by the Athletics administration entities, one in each state and in the federal district, recognized as exclusive directors of Athletics in the areas of their jurisdiction, by direct affiliation; by the Athletics practice entities, those affiliated, according to their classification in the Troféu Brasil de Athletics, admitted as special and transitory affiliates; by national bodies of coaches and referees and by natural persons, in the form of this statute.
