The global cannabis market is booming. Countries around the globe have either legalized cannabis or are in the process of doing so. The markets are divided into medicine, leisure consumption and raw materials for clothing, food, building materials and plastics; analysts value their worth in the billions. Things are picking up pace in Europe. Germany is discussing legalization, various countries are following in their footsteps and Switzerland is already on the way there: medical cannabis has been legal since the summer of 2022 and pilot projects are being launched for the legal supply of cannabis for leisure consumption.
