The Certifying Board of The International Association for Counterterrorism and Security Professionals (IACSP) establishes the Certified Anti-Terrorism Officer (cATO™) certification standards and administers the cATO™ credentialing process. The Certified Anti-Terrorism Officer (cATO™) credential is the global benchmark for recognizing career achievement and knowledge in the protection of facilities, organizations, and the public against acts of terrorism. The Certified Anti-Terrorism Officer credential is awarded to a candidate who has met eligibility requirements and passed the cATO™ Certification Examination in accordance with the rigorous standards set forth by the Certifying Board of The International Association for Counterterrorism and Security Professionals (IACSP). Becoming board certified as a Certified Anti-Terrorism Officer distinguishes professionals in the security and public safety profession by demonstrating their expertise in the specialized field of managing terrorism-related risk and commitment to the safety and welfare of the community.
