Carbon Minus India (CMI) is an Indian Institute of Sustainable Development (IISD) initiative which is again a Leading Indian Public Policy Think Tank and Research Institute as well a Centre Of Excellence in Climate Change Adaptation, Mitigation and Carbon Finance, at New Delhi - Committed to protect Our Only Planet, Mother Earth from Global Warming and Other adverse Impacts of Climate Change, although started Since 5th June 1997, finally got registered on 17th July 2007. CMI is engaged to evolve a strategic framework for India, in identifying Low Carbon Growth opportunities and facilitates a series of planned and scaled-up program, striving for lowering the Carbon Intensity of the Our Economy at the macro and sectoral levels, by building Synergies and addressing the Barriers, Potential trade-offs and appropriate financial (Carbon Finance Models) arrangements to remove these Blockades. Moreover, CMI works to raise India's Consensus Efforts for National preparedness to face and address Global Climate Challenges. CMI has played Leadership Role in first-tracking Indian CDM Projects at UNFCCC and always remained at the fore front in raising Indian Voice in International Track II Climate Change Negotiations from Kyoto at COP 3 to COP 25 at Madrid in addition to constantly contributing to the preparation of Key Public Policy, Regulatory Landmark Historic Publications of Government. CMI's Clean Energy Initiatives, Carbon Management School (CMS), India Climate Neutral Program (ICNP) 2008-2030, facilitating International Technology Transfer along with Massive Plantations, enabling Carbon Sequestration under UNEP's Trillion Tree Campaign along with another 11 important Campaigns - are Bests in the Globe. CMI's National Climate Actions, against Global Climate Emergency today, is well acclaimed, highly appreciated and professionally recognized at various intellectual forums, across the world.
