CANCOM's Mission Statement: To bolster the creation of Canadian comedy intellectual property (IP) for presentation and distribution in Canada and the global market, with such content being made and owned by Canadian comedians through their collaborations with other industry stakeholders. Through investment in produced media, live performance and social media platforms, the foundation’s funding programs generate creative and promotional activities by Canadian comedy artists living in provinces and territories throughout the country. As a result, CANCOM builds and expands upon a large, experienced talent pool of exceptional Canadian comedians who are poised for success at home and abroad.
