Overview

The Cancer Care Center of York County (CCCYC) is York County’s premier radiation therapy center. Established collaboratively by Southern Maine Health Care and Maine Medical Center, CCCYC offers cancer patients and their families state-of-the-art care in a personalized setting. CCCYC is accredited by the American College of Radiology, and operates under the direction of Spectrum Medical Group, who are actively enrolling patients in NRG and RTOG Foundation studies. CCCYC utilizes cutting edge technology, including stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) and stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT), in a home-like environment to ensure the highest level of care with the greatest degree of comfort. CCCYC’s radiation oncologists work in concert with referring physicians to form a multi-disciplinary team to treat patients with all types of cancer. Over their decade of service to patients in the Greater York County, CCCYC has also developed a special expertise in the treatment of head and neck, gynecological, genitourinary, gastrointestinal and breast cancers. Patients and their families benefit as well from the services of social workers and patient advocates who offer emotional and behavioral support, assistance with transportation and financial resources, and connection with cancer patient support groups and caregiver support groups. A wide range of holistic offerings rounds out CCCYC’s comprehensive approach to care with nutritional counseling, yoga, reiki, meditation, and pet therapy.
