Cambodia's largest international cultural event. Over 130 films from 40 countries yearly gathering over 20000 audience in 10 venues across Phnom Penh. A wide spectrum of activities and goal toward the filmmakers and the Cambodian society: - ENGAGING THE AUDIENCE: Educating and exchanging on contemporary and environmental issues Freedom of expression and Human Rights Engaging themes dedicated to the Cambodian audience A young audience but also a broader spectrum of mature patrons A Window onto the World - A CREATIVE NETWORKING FOR THE FILM INDUSTRY: New Cambodian talents promotion International film promotion A professional Film Hub to learn A platform for the Khmer Diaspora A bridge between Europe and Asia, and the rest of the world CIFF is a free of charge event followed by the young Cambodian generation and leads actions in the frame of the UN SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS including: - No Poverty - Good Health and Well Being - Quality Education - Gender Equality - Decent work and economic growth - Industry, innovation and infrastructure - Reduce inequalities - Climate action - Peace, justice and strong institutions - Partnerships for the goals A NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL SUPPORT NETWORK Supported by Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts of Cambodia, UNESCO, and also Heinrich Boll Fondation, Purin Foundation.
