Caleb Foundation – Save Life with Pennies, INC is a 501-c3 IRS approved non-profit organization located in Lawrenceville, GA and Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Our Mission: Our goal is to shine light on our community’s future. Our organization would like to see a giving forward impact by enabling the dependent become independent and help others achieve their independency. Here at Caleb Foundation we thrive on providing individual and community with the means and resources necessary in assisting them on their path to self-sufficiency. Background: Today lack of opportunity for social mobility, education, health care and nutrition are key causes of conditions with children. The first step towards the alleviation of this problem is an awareness creation to support young people and their families. “Supporting families to reduce poverty” will help underprivileged children and their parents suffering from poverty, diseases, illiteracy, and unemployment. The organization is providing financial and material resources for the children and families who become part of the program. Capacity building and awareness creation are key to the projects, providing education, technical and material support, with a program emphasis on female children and women. Caleb Foundation began by enabling 21 underprivileged families, to become economically independent, the parents being given 1000BIRR to start their own small businesses. Since 2012, the foundation was able to send hundreds of children to a private kindergarten by paying their full tuition to help disadvantaged children in the early education program. At this time, the Caleb Foundation is providing a free daycare for so many underprivileged families. Since 2012, the Caleb Foundation was able to help thousands of children by means of providing educational, technical and material support such as uniform, school supplies, shoes, clothes and etc.
