Overview

OUR ZERO WASTE VISION With our Café spurlos we want to implement the vision of a café with a focus on reduced waste production, and thus be a role model for sustainable Basel, even Swiss gastronomy. To ensure that the implementation is as successful as possible, such a Zero Waste Gastro Concept is being developed in the Zero Waste Innovation Lab (ZEWIL). The operational implementation of a Zero Waste gastronomy in the café thus offers an innovative experience for the ZEWIL. All guests of the Café spurlos contribute to the research and sensitization with their feedback, even with pure presence; so that a comprehensive and scalable Zero Waste Gastro Concept is created. PS: Zero Waste in this case does not mean no more waste at all, but reducing it and raising awareness. OUR VALUES Transparent: It is important to us to communicate openly and honestly our progress and setbacks. Conserving resources: We use our existing resources in a responsible way. Local: Whenever possible, we source from local partner organizations. Community: For us, the social aspect is of paramount importance. We work together with partners who also care about responsible consumption. Corporate: We strive for sustainability in all areas of an organization. This includes entrepreneurial spirit and a business model that works in the long term.
