C2TN performs R&D, Advanced Training & Education, Consulting and Services in Nuclear Sciences and Technologies and in applications of Ionizing Radiation, extending from fundamental research to the Health, Environment, Industry and Energy sectors, amongst others. C2TN is a research centre of Excellence in the areas of Radiopharmaceutical Sciences, Radiation Protection, Earth Systems, Radioactivity, Cultural Heritage and Advanced Materials. It gathers researchers, teachers, students and other collaborators, with knowledge and competences in cutting edge and multidisciplinary topics in the afore mentioned areas. C2TN members operate state-of-the-art equipment, laboratories and infrastructures, some of them unique in Portugal, and have a longstanding record of collaboration with foreign and national entities from academia, research, industry and with international organizations and engage with policy makers and society.
