Buffalo Niagara Manufacturing Alliance

Non-profit Organization Management

Overview

Established in 2010, the Buffalo Niagara Manufacturing Alliance (BNMA) is the largest non-profit organization representing manufacturers in the Buffalo Niagara region. Originally started in the 1940’s as the National Tooling & Machining Association Buffalo Chapter, the BNMA has evolved into a modern, progressive manufacturing association. Today an increasing number of local manufacturing companies see the value of belonging to an association like the BNMA. Our membership is comprised mostly of companies that are engaged in manufacturing. The remaining members provide support services to manufacturing companies. Our membership is unified under a single mission: To grow our members companies while helping WNY thrive by being a national source for precision manufacturing. Our INITIATIVES to meet our goal: • By creating networking opportunities for our members to share best practices. • By utilizing our current members by outsourcing work within the group. • Creating a community among our members by having one central website and point of reference. • By using the strength of our collective group to gain influence over local policy makers and maintain awareness about manufacturing. • By providing training and other resources to strengthen our members • To utilize the power of our size for more competitively priced resources for our members • By marketing the skills and capacity of WNY companies to the rest of the nation.
