Along with five other organisations, the British Bankers Association merged on 1st July 2017 to form UK Finance, the new trade association for 300 providers of finance, banking and payments-related services. Together, we are working to build a more customer-focused and innovative finance and banking sector and enhance the UK’s status as a global leader in financial services. Before being combined with other bodies to form UK Finance, the BBA was the leading trade association for the UK banking sector with 200 member banks headquartered in over 50 countries with operations in 180 jurisdictions worldwide.
