Overview

Brandstein Family Services (BFS) is an in-home applied behavior therapy provider for children ages 2-12. We provide high quality ABA services to children and their families to help them learn and grow to live life to the fullest. Our services include: assessment, home program design, behavior plan development, and parent coaching and support. We are here to change the behaviors that are important to you and your child in your everyday lives. We begin with an assessment of the developmentally appropriate skills your child already has and what challenging behaviors require support. Throughout the service delivery period, BFS will work with you to create a plan for skill-building and proactive strategies to reduce challenging behaviors that will achieve the best outcomes for your child. Every plan is individualized, based on the results of the assessment. The focus is always on the needs of your family. We will use a variety of strategies based on what the assessments reveal. Our techniques come from years of research conducted with people having a wide variety of diagnoses. We use positive reinforcement to teach the skills we want to encourage. Other techniques we might employ include: • Discrete trial teaching: Practicing a skill multiple times • Natural Environment Teaching: Teaching skills in real time when the skills are most needed • Self-monitoring: Teaching the child to have awareness of their own behavior and to act accordingly • And many more!
