Founded in 2018 and based in Pasadena, Calif., Braeburn Family Office LLC provides unique, highly personal financial, transitional, philanthropic solutions and opportunities to domestic, multi-national families and their succeeding generations. Through our organic strategy of interlocking solutions, we assist clients across the family-office continuum that, in addition to asset allocation, spans business transition, tax and estate planning, philanthropic coordination, intergenerational and family-wealth governance matters, among other services required by the ultra-wealthy. The firm was founded and is led by Managing Partner Michael Adam Smith, who possesses 35 years of capital markets and investment management expertise in this category. Our clients created significant wealth and with that comes a multitude of challenges and responsibilities. Braeburn brings to bear requisite expertise helping individuals and their families achieve their fullest potential and success, promoting their growth across generations – not only financial but intellectual, social and spiritual – and allowing them to flourish. We believe Braeburn distinguishes itself through our breadth of international client relationships, extensive experience across industry sectors, and ability to leverage existing associations to the benefit of family clients. Braeburn is a retainer-based advisory, and neither sells and places products nor accepts referral or third-party compensation fees. Placing precedence on independence and objectivity, we maintain non-conflicted affiliations with boutique investment banks, accounting and law practices and other professional advisors – such as fine art curators, aviation, personal and cyber security, and valuations specialists.
