Overview
In our 155 year history, one thing has always remained the same: we provide a safe space and structured programming for our city’s youth to play, grow, and learn. Today, 82% of our members live under the poverty line. To assure them a bright future, we work to break the cycle of poverty. That means addressing the structural issues that hold our kids back, including lack of access to educational programming, and lack of exposure to critical opportunities that develop their skills, talents, and passions. Our MISSION is to enable and inspire youth, especially those from diverse or difficult circumstances to: * Reach their full potential * Become productive, responsible, and healthy members of society * Develop into givers, and not takers * Make their community, State, and the world a better place for all Our VISION is to be an integral part of the solution to Rhode Island poverty through providing a path to education and jobs: * Exposure to post-secondary education and training * Assistance to secure education * Introduction to professions and jobs * A plan to realize individual vision beginning when a youth walks through our doors
